PRAYER FAMILIES In our prayers this week, we remember the following school families: Shelley & Dietrich Eisele, Terry & Lori Eckert, and Mike & Amy Duever.

CHAPEL OFFERINGS During March, we collected $104 to pay to pay for the Church Radio Broadcast. Our offerings for April will go to the Community Food Pantry. You may send in canned foods, or money. A small envelope is coming home today for April Chapel offering. Pantry Items Needed: Sugar, 2 lb. Flour, Chicken Noodle Soup, 5 oz. cans Ham & Turkey, Mixed Vegetables, Carrots, Ketchup, Mustard, Peanut Butter, and Jelly.

SPRING MAP TESTING The students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade will be taking MAP Tests April 4th– April 15th. Please be sure your children are well rested and have had a good breakfast each day so they will be able to do their best on the tests.

TUITION/ LUNCH BILLS April tuition is now due. March lunch bills will be sent home this week.

2016-2017 SCHOOL CALENDAR The calendar for next year is coming home with your child today for family planning. Please keep it for future reference.

APRIL CALENDAR The April school calendar was sent home last week. Please keep it for future reference.

CAMP LUTHER Information about summer camps at Camp Luther was sent home last week with Grades K-5 students. Registration information can also be found at www.campluther.org. If you are interested in enrolling, it is good to do so early as some camps fill up quickly. The St. Paul Dorcas Society is offing scholarships to Camp Luther. The scholarships are given on a first come basis. If you are interested in a scholarship or Camp Luther information, contact the school office.

1ST GRADE The 1st Grade students will visit the Beatrice Hospital this week, Thursday, April 7th.

SPELLING BEE The annual St. Paul Spelling Bee will be held this Thursday, April 7th at 7:00 pm. The event will involve students from St. Paul’s school in grades 1-5. Any and all St. Paul students in these grades who wish to participate may do so.

SINGING IN CHURCH The students in Grades K-5 will sing at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Sunday, April 10th at the 10:30 AM Worship Service.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS Outdoor Classroom Workdays are scheduled for Saturday, April 16th and Saturday, May 7th beginning at 9:00 am. The 16th, we will dig up, mulch and prepare the beds for the butterfly garden, and put sand in the long jump pit and the digging area. On the 7th, we will plant the butterfly gardens, and some new trees.

VOTERS MEETING St. Paul Lutheran Voters’ Meeting will be held Sunday, April 17th at 1:30 PM at church.

PTL MEETING The last PTL meeting of the school year will be on Tuesday, April 19th at 7:00 PM at the school. The agenda will include election of officers and other final business of the year.

SPRING MUSICAL The Grades 1-5 Spring Musical entitled L.O.S.T. But Now I’m Found will be presented on Friday, April 22nd at 7:00 PM. Students are enjoying their practices as they prepare for the performance! We hope all of you will be able to join us for the Musical. The Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten Program will be presented on Friday, April 29th at 7:00 PM. They are working hard to prepare an enjoyable evening for you.

COOKIES FOR MUSICALS Families who did not bring cookies for Grandparents Day in March are asked to bring one dozen cookies for refreshments after the Spring Musical. Please send the cookies with your child the morning of April 22nd or when you pick your children up that afternoon. Please do not wait to bring cookies until you come that evening as it doesn’t give us enough time to get them arranged for serving before the program starts. Some of those cookies will be frozen and then will be served for the Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten program on April 29th.

SNEAKER RECYCLING The St. Paul’s Youth Group is gathering gently used sneakers and tennis shoes for a fundraiser to support their trip to the National Youth Gathering this summer. If you have any good used tennis shoes, please place them in the box by the front door at school.

2016-2017 APPLICATIONS We are in the process of accepting applications for new students in Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten through Grade 5 for the next school year (2016-2017). If you know of anyone interested in enrolling in St. Paul’s School, please give their name to the school office or ask them to contact the school.

SCHOOL SECRETARY Vanessa Smith, our school secretary, is expecting her second child this October. She has decided to stay home with her children beginning this fall. The Board for Parish Education is accepting applications for a new school secretary to train with Vanessa and take over the position this fall. Applications are available in the school office. If you are interested, please stop and speak with Mrs. Duever.

SUNMART RECEIPTS SunMart cash register receipts update: Our total is $117,591.30. Thanks to everyone who helps us collect these receipts, every receipt helps.
