CHAPEL OFFERINGS Our offerings for April and May will go to the Community Food Pantry. You may send in canned foods, or money. Pantry Items Needed: Sugar, 2 lb. Flour, Chicken Noodle Soup, 5 oz. cans Ham & Turkey, Mixed Vegetables, Carrots, Ketchup, Mustard, Peanut Butter, and Jelly. Our current total is $233.78 and 154 food items.

BAPTISMAL REMEMBRANCE CHAPEL Baptismal Remembrance Chapel for May and June baptisms will be tomorrow, Wednesday, May 11th.

PLANTING DAY Thank you to Nicole & Grace Ideus, and Betsy, Landen, and Kinslee Frerichs for all their help Saturday planting the butterfly gardens. Also, thanks to church members Pastor Irmer, Ron Buss, Bob Frerking, and Lyndon Wiegand for helping dig and plant as well. The gardens look great!

LIBRARY CHECKOUT The last library checkout day was Monday, May 9th. All library books, magazines, and DVD’s must be returned by Monday, May 16th. Parents, please check at home to see if your child has any of these that will need to be returned.

DVD DONATION Cleaning out DVD’s your kids don’t watch anymore? St. Paul’s library would be glad to accept any G or PG rated DVD’s in good used condition for our school library. Thanks in advance for your donations!

THANK YOU LIBRARIANS Thank you to our librarians this year. Our librarians were Toree Lang, Amy Southwick, Amy Rademacher, Dawn Jurgens, Amy Loomis, and Rhonda Rickers.

YEARBOOK SALES The 2015-2016 Yearbook are now on sale at the school office. The cost of the yearbook is $5.00. We will continue selling them through the end of the school year. The yearbook contains autograph pages. Next week on Thursday, May 19th from 8:30-9:00 AM students may go from room to room and get autographs from teachers and other students.

END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR CELEBRATION On Sunday, May 15th in the 10:30 AM Worship Service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, we are planning a special celebration as we near the end of the school year. During this service, the Graduation of the 5th Grade Class will take place. The 5th Grade Graduated will be recognized at a reception at 9:15 AM during the Sunday School/Bible Class hour in the church basement. The students in Grades K-5 of St. Paul’s School will sing during the 10:30 AM service. They will sit with their parents and come to the front of the church to sing.

FINAL SCHOOL DAYS Last Day for Pre-Kindergarten is Wednesday, May 18th. Classes are held at regular times. Last Day for Pre-School is Thursday, May 19th. Classes are held at regular times. Early Dismissal for K-5 on Thursday, May 19th. Grades K-5 will dismiss at 11:45 AM. NO lunch will be served. Last Day for K-5 is Friday, May 20th. K-5 students will be dismissed at 11:45 AM. NO lunch will be served. The school year will end with the last Chapel service beginning at 10:45 AM, and a Color Run at 11:15 AM. All parents are invited to join us for the closing Chapel service.

ST. PAUL’S SCHOOL CARNIVAL The School Carnival will be held on Friday, May 20th from 6-8 PM. The Board of Education will provide hot dogs, chips, and drinks. St. Paul families are asked to bring a side dish or dessert and tableware. There will be Carnival games and prizes on the school lawn as well. We will eat together at 6:00 PM, then begin the carnival at 6:30 PM. Hope to see you there!

COLOR FUN RUN On the last day of school, May 20th, we are going to have a Color Fun Run. We are moving Chapel up to 10:45 AM, then at 11:15 AM, we will head outside for the run. Please have your child wear a white t-shirt that day! Thanks to KJ Patel for organizing this fun activity!

TURKEY SUPPER DATE CHANGE Turkey Supper this fall will be Saturday, October 1st. This is a change from the calendar sent home. Please correct the date on your school calendar for 2016-2017!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL St. Paul’s Vacation Bible School will be held July 11th-15th. More information will be coming soon. Amy Loomis will be the director.

TEACHER AIDE POSITION St. Paul’s is seeking a teacher aide to begin working in Pre-Kindergarten this fall. Duties would include helping students with learning activities in small groups, assisting the classroom teacher with preparation of classroom materials, and supervision of students at recess and indoor play. This is a part-time, paid position. Please contact the school office if interested.

SUNMART RECEIPTS SunMart cash register receipts update: Our total is $128,706.06. Thanks to everyone who helps us collect these receipts, every receipt helps.

TYSON A+ LABELS We are collecting Tyson Project A+ labels for our school. They are found on Tyson chicken products, and each label is 24 cents for our school. Please collect and send to the school office.
