PRAYER FAMILIES
In our prayers this week, we remember the following school families: John & Nicole Ideus, Douglas & Carol Irmer, Eric Jobman, Karie Jobman, and Grant & Nicole Jones.

CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR NOVEMBER & DECEMBER
In November and December we will be collecting money for Mercy Meals. This program packs nutrition meals to help fight world hunger and the effects of Malnutrition globally.  We are planning to pack meals again in January, but first we are working to raise funds for our packing.  Martin Seckel, a member of St. Paul’s, has donated $500 for a matching gift for this project.  I have challenged the students to reach the goal of $500 raised for this project. So far we have collected $136.40. We will have a special Mercy Meals chapel led by Pastor Stuckwisch next Wednesday, November 30th at 8:30 AM.

LOST & FOUND
There was a green Columbia jacket left at St. Paul’s Church on Sunday, November 13th. If this is yours, you can pick it up at the School office.

CRANBERRY SAUCE FOR SALE
We have cans of cranberry sauce left over from the Turkey Supper. They expire next August, so we will not be able to use them for the Turkey Supper next year.  If you would like to purchase some cans, please bring $1.50 per can to the school office.

MID-QUARTER REPORTS
Last week, Wednesday, November 16th brought us halfway through the 2nd quarter of the school year. Mid-quarter reports will be sent home today, Monday, November 21st with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

NO SCHOOL
There will be no school Wednesday, November 23rd through Friday, November 25th for Thanksgiving vacation as we pause to give thanks to God for all the blessings that we have received from Him.

CHANGE IN WEATHER
Please be sure your child leaves for school with the proper clothing to match the weather. With colder weather in the air, hats, gloves, and warm coats will be needed when going outside for recess. If they wish to go out in the snow, they also need boots and snow pants.
Also, with cough and cold season starting, we remind parents that a parent-signed permission is needed to be sent when cough drops are sent to school.

SCHOOL CLOSING INFORMATION
If school will be closed early or cancelled for the day due to inclement weather, the announcement will be made over station KWBE (1450 AM) Radio and also on Channel 10/11 KOLN/KGIN TV and Channel 8 KLKN TV. Announcements are made at least every 15 minutes on mornings when weather conditions require it. We follow the Beatrice Public School’s initiative and ruling in most cases of inclement weather.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM PRACTICE
Saturday, December 17th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is the only Saturday practice scheduled. It is very important for all children in Pre-School through 5th Grade who will be participating in the program to be at this rehearsal. Please make every effort to have your child at church on time for the rehearsal and to pick your child up at the time rehearsal will be over. Rehearsal times are:
Grades 1-5: 3:00 PM Program—Practice from 8:30-10:00 AM
Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, & Kindergarten: Both 3:00 PM & 5:00 PM Programs—Practice from 10:00-10:30 AM
