PRAYER FAMILIES
In our prayers this week, we remember the following school families: Blake & Jenny Pollman, Stephanie Polson, Mark Polson, Ryan & Amy Rademacher, Pam Poole.

CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR FEBRUARY
The offerings for the month of February will go to LCMS Mission Schools in the Dominican Republic. This is the Nebraska District Hearts for Jesus project, with money being collected by all the Lutheran Schools in Nebraska. Our total collected so far is: $59.26.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS
St. Paul’s will be having a church service in the school gym at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 26th. The students will sing at this service, and hand out prayer rocks to church members. The LYF will serve a soup luncheon after the service from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  The soup luncheon will be a free will offering fundraiser for the youth to attend the National Youth Gathering.

LUNCH & TUITION BILLS
For 2017, we have updated our accounting system, and we will need you to write a separate check for lunch and tuition. If you combine the payments, we will return your check and ask for two. Thank you for your assistance and understanding with this new policy!

NEW SECRETARY
We are pleased to welcome Chauntaine Kidder to our school family as our new secretary. We also welcome her children, Elia and Tobias, to our school. Mrs. Kidder will be here every afternoon from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

B.E.A.R. FAIR
B.E.A.R. Fair ended last week. Our top seller was Ethan Rosenthal who sold $1,960! Great job Ethan! We surpassed our goal of $17,000 in sales, selling $22,000 total. I am so proud of all the students! We will be having a candy scramble and duct taping Mrs. Duever for 10 ten orders. We will keep you posted about that and about cookie dough delivery. Thanks for making BEAR Fair a big success!

VALENTINE’S DAY
Valentines may be brought and handed out at school for Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 14th (Pre-Kindergarten- Monday, February 13th). To avoid any hurt feelings, we ask that children bringing Valentines bring one for each member of the class or hand out none at school.

KINDERGARTEN CLASS CHAPEL
The Kindergarten class will present their class Chapel on Wednesday, February 15th at 8:30 a.m. Parents are welcome to worship with us on that day as well as any Wednesday morning.

KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION MEETING & OPEN HOUSE
The 2017-2018 Kindergarten Information Meeting and Open House will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 7:00 p.m.

UPCOMING FIELD TRIP
The 2nd grade class will make their monthly visit to Mosaic on Friday, February 17th.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Conferences for Kindergarten through Grade 5 students are scheduled for Tuesday, February 21st from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Thursday, February 23rd from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m.  Conference notes will be sent home this week indicating the time of your conferences.  They were scheduled similar to the times of the 1st quarter conferences last September. If the time scheduled for your conference will not work, contact your child’s teacher to schedule a new time.  Pre-Kindergarten conferences will be in March.

NO SCHOOL
There will be no school on Friday, February 24th for students in all grades, Pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

GRANDPARENTS DAY
Grandparents Day is Friday, March 3rd beginning at 10:00 a.m. Students in grades K-5 will present a variety program at 10:00 a.m. Cookies for Grandparents Day: If your last name begins with A-L (Grades K-5) please provide one dozen cookies for our guests at Grandparents Day. You may send the cookies on Friday, March 3rd. (Those of you whose last names begin with M-Z will be asked to provide cookies for the Spring Musical in April.)

NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK
NLSW will be celebrated February 26th-March 5th.  An information sheet was sent home last week indicating the activities planned for this year’s celebration. Please keep this sheet for future reference.

ROLLER SKATING PARTY
The PTL sponsored Roller Skating Party will be held on Sunday, March 5th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Beatrice Rolla Rena. Everyone is invited to come and have fun skating with us. Ask a friend to come and enjoy the evening with us too. The cost is $4.00 per skater.

NEEDED FOR OUR STORE ROOM
Please save Pringles cans and foam meat trays (cleaned) for our store room at school. Thanks for your help in restocking our storage supplies for crafts and projects!

YEARBOOK COMMITTEE
The yearbook committee needs pictures! Grades K-5: We need pictures of field trips, class parties, New Year’s Eve, or any pictures of a St. Paul activity. Please e-mail pictures to kariek76@yahoo.com. Thank you!

2017-2018 APPLICATIONS
We are in the process of accepting applications for new students in Pre-School, Pre- Kindergarten, and Kindergarten through Grade 5 for the next school year (2017-2018). If you know of anyone interested in enrolling in St. Paul’s School, please give their name to the school office or ask them to contact the school.

SUNMART RECEIPTS
SunMart cash register receipts update: Our total is $75,446.38. Thanks to everyone who helps us collect these receipts, every receipt helps.
