CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR MAY
Our offerings for April and May will go to the Community Food Pantry. We are collecting food items and money.  We are trying to collect cereal boxes for the food pantry, but you may bring in any canned or boxed items.  Our current total is $122.66 and 43 boxes of food.

UPCOMING FIELD TRIPS
Tuesday, May 9th: Preschool will walk to Hannibal Park.
Wednesday, May 10th: 3rd Grade will travel to Day on the Farm and Nature Connection.
Tuesday, May 16th: 1st Grade will go to the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.
Wednesday, May 17th: 2nd Grade will go to Morrill Hall and UNL Stadium in Lincoln.

LIBRARY CHECKOUT
The last library checkout day will be Monday, May 8th. All library books, magazines, and DVDs must be returned by Monday, May 15th. Parents, please check at home to see if your child has any of these that will need to be returned. 

THANK YOU LIBRARIANS
Thank you to our librarians this year! Our librarians were Melissa Carlson, Toree Lang, Bly Rash, and Kati Robinson. 

DVD DONATION
Cleaning out DVDs your kids don’t watch anymore? St. Paul’s library would be glad to accept any G or PG rated DVDs in good used condition for our school library. Thanks in advance for your donation.

END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR CELEBRATION
On Sunday, May 14th in the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, we are planning a special celebration as we near the end of the school year. During this service, the 5th Grade Class Graduation will take place. The 5th Grade graduates will be recognized at a reception at 9:30 a.m. during the Sunday School/Bible Class hour in the church basement.

The students in the Grades K-5 of St. Paul’s school will sing during the 10:30 a.m. service. They will sit with their parents and then come to the front of the church to sing.

YEARBOOK SALES
The 2016-2017 Yearbook is now for sale at the school office. The cost of the yearbook is $5.00. We will continue selling them through the end of the school year. The yearbook contains autograph pages. On Thursday, May 18th, from 8:30-9:00 a.m. students may go from room to room to get autographs from teachers and other students. 

COLOR FUN RUN
On Thursday, May 18th, we are going to have a Color Fun Run beginning at 11:15 a.m. Please have your child wear a white t-shirt that day. Thanks to KJ Patel for organizing this fun activity!

FINAL SCHOOL DAYS
Last day for Pre-Kindergarten is Wednesday, May 17th. Classes are held at regular times.
Last day for Pre-School is Thursday, May 18th. Classes are held at regular times.
Early dismissal at 11:45 a.m. for grades K-5 on Thursday, May 18th. No lunch will be served.
Last day for K-5 is Friday, May 20th with an 11:45 a.m. dismissal. No lunch will be served.

The school year will end with the last Chapel service beginning at 11:15 a.m. All parents are invited to join us for the closing Chapel service.

ST. PAUL’S SCHOOL CARNIVAL
The School Carnival will be held on Friday, May 19th from 6-8 p.m. The Board of Education will provide hot dogs, chips and drinks. St. Paul families are asked to bring a side dish or dessert and tableware. We will eat together at 6:00 p.m. and then begin the carnival games with prizes on the school lawn at 6:30 p.m. Hope to see you there!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
St. Paul’s Vacation Bible School will be held July 17th-21st. More information will be coming soon. Amy Loomis will be the director.

SUNMART RECEIPTS
SunMart cash register receipts update: Our total is $97,710.40.   Thanks to everyone who helps us collect these receipts, every receipt helps.
