PRAYER FAMILIES
In our prayers this week, we remember the following school families: Brad & Michelle Achtemeier, Jason & Dyan Allington, Chris & Mary Andregg, and Emily Billesbach.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS
The All School Field Trip will be held on Friday, September 22nd. We will travel as a school to Arbor Day Farm. The cost is $9/adult and $7/child for grades 1-5, and $13/adult and $8/child for Pre-K and Kindergarten. A permission slip and driver form with more information is coming home today. It is due next Wednesday, September 13th!
CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR AUGUST & SEPTEMBER- MERCY MEALS
We will be sending our offerings to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Odell, to assist with their purchasing of foods for Mercy Meals. Our current total is: $76.75.
SEPTEMBER CALENDAR
The September school calendar was sent home last week. Please keep it for future reference.
TESTING
This week, the K-5 students will be taking fall MAPS assessments. Please make sure they eat a good breakfast and are well rested so they can do their best on these tests.
REMINDER
September tuition was paid at registration; your next tuition payment will be due October 1st. When your lunch account drops below $10.00, a reminder will come home!
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SUNDAY
Christian Education Sunday is September 10th. Plan now to join us this Sunday as we celebrate the Christian Education St. Paul’s provides to its members and the community. Our 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday will be held at the school. Students from our St. Paul’s Lutheran School will be singing during this service. A BBQ Pork Meal will be served after the service by Van’s BBQ at 11:30 a.m. The cost of the meal is a free will donation, but reservations are needed by September 1st if you plan to attend the meal.
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
Plan now to join us on Sunday, September 10th at 1:30 p.m. in the church basement where Pastor Reek will present the first of his Intentional Interim Reports.
JR. FIRE MARSHAL PROGRAM
On Wednesday, September 13th, the 5th Grade students will begin the Jr. Fire Marshal program sponsored by the Beatrice Fire Department. The program runs for 4 weeks, meeting one hour a week, and is taught by firefighter Anthony Zimmerman.
MOSAIC
Our 2nd Grade class partners with Mosaic, traveling there once a month so our students can interact with the residents. They will make their first trip to Mosaic on Friday, September 15th.
PARENT TEACHER LEAGUE
St. Paul School has a parent organization, PTL, which gives all parents an opportunity to participate in your child’s school and education. The first PTL meeting will be held Tuesday, September 19th at 7:00 p.m. All parents of Pre-School through 5th Grade students are invited and encouraged to attend.
SUNMART RECEIPTS
SunMart cash register receipts update: our current total is $127,961.05. You can also collect Box Tops, Best Choice UPC labels (from Heartland Foods), Tyson Project A+ labels, and Our Family labels (UPC portion). We can turn in all of these labels to receive money for our school.
