PRAYER FAMILIES
In our prayers this week, we remember the following school families: Bill & Vicki Heard, Matt & Jill Helmke, Harlan & Iris Hintz, and John & Dawn Hirschler.

CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR NOVEMBER & DECEMBER- WARREN’S TABLE
In November and December, we will be collecting money for Warren’s Table. This outreach project at Christ Episcopal Church in Beatrice provides a free meal to the public each Tuesday evening. After we raise funds, we plan to prepare and serve a meal with our older students, and donate any extra funds raised. Our current total is $28.25.

NOVEMBER CALENDAR
The November calendar showing events at St. Paul’s Lutheran School was sent home last week. Please save it for future reference during the month of November. The lunch menu is found on the reverse side.

SCIENCE FAIR
Thank you to all of the students and parents who participated in our school science fair! Your projects were amazing and the judges had many positive comments about their quality. We hope you had fun and learned through this project! Our People’s Choice winner was Kendall Oates from 5th Grade.  The grade level winners were:

UPCOMING FIELD TRIPS The 2nd Grade will visit Mosaic on Friday, November 17th. The 1st Grade will visit the Homestead National Monument on Tuesday, November 21st.

BEATRICE OPTIMIST YOUTH APPRECIATION WEEK This week is Beatrice Optimist Youth Appreciation Week.

Tuesday, November 7th will be free swimming at the YMCA from 6:45-8:15 p.m.
Wednesday, November 8th is a free movie at Cinema 1 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 9th is free skating at the Rolla Rena with two sessions:
5-6:30 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m.

NO SCHOOL
There will be no school this Friday, November 10th for Teacher In-Service.  Also, there will be no school Wednesday, November 22nd through Friday, November 24th for Thanksgiving vacation as we pause to give thanks to God for all the blessings that we have received from Him.

SINGING IN CHURCH
The students in Grades K-5 will sing this Sunday, November 12th at the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend! 

PTL
The PTL meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the school media center. Please plan to attend.

4TH GRADE CHAPEL
4th Grade will present their class chapel on Wednesday, November 15th beginning at 8:30 a.m. Parents are welcome to worship with us at this special service as well as any Wednesday.

STUDENT CHRISTMAS GIFT PROJECT
In place of a student gift exchange, students in grades K-5 are participating in the Gage County Christmas Wish List Program again this year. Information about how we plan to participate is being sent home today. Please send your money for this project by Monday, November 20th.

SCRIP CARDS
Giving Gift Cards for Christmas this year? Order your gift cards through our St. Paul’s Lutheran School “Scrip Card” program and our school automatically gets money in return at no extra cost to you! Order forms are located in the narthex, church office, school office, and on the school’s website. A form will also be sent home today. Orders will be placed November 27th and December 11th. Order forms can be turned in to the church or school office.

SUNMART RECEIPTS
SunMart cash register receipts update: our current total is $5,741.00. Last week, we sent in another $150,000.00 worth of receipts and Nash Finch will be sending us a $1,000.00 check. This is the 23rd time we have reached the goal of collecting $150,000.00 in receipts.  You can also collect Box Tops, Best Choice UPC labels (from Heartland Foods), Tyson Project A+ labels, and Our Family labels (UPC portion). We can turn in all of these labels to receive money for our school.
