Hi! My Name is Mrs. Lisa Oltmans! I live on a crop and beef cattle farm with my husband, our two daughters, and a dog named Spot. I will be your child’s 3rd grade teacher and I am excited to make this the best year yet!
I grew up in here in Beatrice, NE where I attended this very school from Kindergarten through 6th grade. I then attended Beatrice Middle and High school and graduated in 1998.
In December of 2000, I graduated with an Applied Science Degree in Natural Resources/Agribusiness from SCC – Beatrice. After working in an office I realized I wasn’t made to do that every day, too boring. One day as I was driving by my church it suddenly occurred to me that I enjoy teaching Sunday School and guitar. So I enrolled at Peru State College and graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education in 2004. I substituted for a year, and then was a severe/profound para for a year at public school before beginning my job at St. Paul! I’ve taken several master courses through Doane over the years before Chloe was born, and was working on adding a special/education endorsement.
