What a blessed year we have had at St. Paul’s! Thank you to our dedicated staff, wonderful students, and supportive parents for helping make the 2015-2016 school year a success! We say Thank You to those members of our school staff that make our school run so smoothly: Vanessa Smith, our secretary; Iris Hintz, Amy Loomis, and Joanne Gabriel, our teachers’ assistants; Jane Oeltjen, who serves our meals; and Thad Loomis, our custodian. The group of people we have that volunteer their time and talents is so large that we cannot mention them all. We do thank each of you for those many hours you give to our school. Have a blessed summer and enjoy your children!

PRAYER FAMILIES
In our prayers this week, we remember the following school families: Laura & Chet Bigley, Brian & Lindsay Bent, Jason & Dyan Allington, and Michelle & Brad Achtemeier.

CHAPEL OFFERINGS
This is our last week for collecting food items and money for the food pantry. Our current total is $270.42 and 156 food items.

LAST CHAPEL
The last Chapel service will be on Friday, May 20th at 11:15 AM.
We moved this back to the original time.

LUNCH & TUITION ACCOUNTS
All families will receive a sheet this week on Wednesday or Thursday with your final account balances. If your account has a balance due, we would appreciate payment by Friday, May 20th. If there is a balance in your account, and your child will not be returning to St. Paul’s this fall, a check refunding the balance will be attached to your account sheet. If you are on the 12 month Simply Giving plan, you will receive a final accounting in August after your last payment is made. If you have any questions on your lunch or tuition account, please call the school.

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS
The school office will be open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the months of June and July, from 8:30-11:30 AM, and 12:30-3:30 PM.

THANK YOU
The Concession Committee would like to say a big Thank You to all who helped with the concession stand at Field Day. We really appreciate all the donations of food and all the time that was given preparing the food, running the stand, and cleaning up after. Thank You!!

BRING A SACK LUNCH
Beatrice Public Schools has a half day on Wednesday, May 18th, so no hot lunch will be served. All students will need a sack lunch. Milk will be available to purchase.

YEARBOOK SALES
The 2015-2016 Yearbook is now on sale at the school office. The cost of the yearbook is $5.00. We will continue selling them through the end of the school year. The yearbook contains autograph pages. On Thursday, May 19th from 8:30-9:00 AM students may go from room to room and get autographs from teachers and other students.

FINAL SCHOOL DAYS
Last Day for Pre-Kindergarten is Wednesday, May 18th. Classes are held at regular times. Last Day for Pre-School is Thursday, May 19th. Classes are held at regular times. Early Dismissal for K-5 on Thursday, May 19th. Grades K-5 will dismiss at 11:45 AM. NO lunch will be served. Last Day for K-5 is Friday, May 20th. K-5 students will be dismissed at 11:45 AM. NO lunch will be served. The school year will end with the last Chapel service beginning at 11:15 AM. All parents are invited to join us for the closing Chapel service.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
The last day for Sunday School at St. Paul’s will be this Sunday, May 22nd. Sunday School will resume in August.

ST. PAUL’S SCHOOL CARNIVAL
The School Carnival will be held on Friday, May 20th from 6-8 PM. The Board of Education will provide hot dogs, chips, and drinks. St. Paul families are asked to bring a side dish or dessert and tableware. There will be Carnival games and prizes on the school lawn as well. We will eat together at 6:00 PM, then begin the carnival at 6:30 PM. Hope to see you there!

COLOR FUN RUN
On Thursday, May 19th, we are going to have a Color Fun Run at 11:15 AM. Please notice that this date has changed
due to a schedule conflict with the organizer. Please have your child wear a white t-shirt on Thursday! Thanks to KJ Patel for organizing this fun activity! Parents are invited to join in the fun.

TURKEY SUPPER DATE CHANGE
Turkey Supper this fall will be Saturday, October 1st. This is a change from the calendar sent home. Please correct the date on your school calendar for 2016-2017!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
St. Paul’s Vacation Bible School will be held July 11th-15th. More information will be coming soon. Amy Loomis will be the director.

TEACHER AIDE POSITION
St. Paul’s is seeking a teacher aide to begin working in Pre-Kindergarten this fall. Duties would include helping students with learning activities in small groups, assisting the classroom teacher with preparation of classroom materials, and supervision of students at recess and indoor play. This is a part-time, paid position. Please contact the school office if interested.

SCRIP ORDER
We will be placing a Scrip order this Friday, May 20th. Remember to stock up for summer shopping. If you need gift cards during the summer, contact Vanessa at vsmith@stpaulbeatrice.org.

SUNMART RECEIPTS
SunMart cash register receipts update: Our total is $131,668.24. Thanks to everyone who helps us collect these receipts, every receipt helps.

TYSON A+ LABELS We are collecting Tyson Project A+ labels for our school. They are found on Tyson chicken products, and each label is 24 cents for our school. Please collect and send to the school office.
