PRAYER FAMILIES

In our prayers this week, we remember the following school families: Rusty & Samantha Salts, Kendra Sand, Anthony Schoen and Lindsay Schoen

CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR FEBRUARY
The offerings for the month of February will go to Our Hearts for Jesus project, Helping Hands Eastern European Ministries.  This ministry serves families and children living under communism or in conflict, including ukrainian refuge children.  All of the Lutheran Schools in Nebraska gather funds for this project.  Our current total is : $128.64

LENTEN WORSHIP

As we prepare for Easter.  Lenten weekly worship services are held every week.  St Paul’s has a 10:30 a.m. worship service and 6:30 p.m. service each Wednesday until Holy week.  Lenten Meals will begin this Wednesday, February 21st with a 5 p.m. start in the church basement.

MARCH CALENDAR

The March calendar and lunch menu will come home today.  Please keep it for future reference during the month of March.

NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK

NLSW will be celebrated next week, March 4th-March 8th.  The dress up days are:

Monday: PreK-5 “Comfy Day”

Tuesday: PreS-5 Wacky Hair/Hat/Sock Day

Wednesday: K-5 Rainbow Day (Class Colors)

Thursday: PreS-5 “Alliteration Day”

Friday: K-5 “School Spirit Day”/PreK “Wacky Hair/Hat/Sock Day”

LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK

The schedule for Lutheran Schools Week, which we plan to celebrate March 3rd-8th came home with your child a couple weeks ago.  Please keep the schedule to plan for dress-up days and other events that week.  Alliteration Day you can dress up as anything that starts with the same letter as your name. (Examples: Kelsy the Kangaroo, Amy the Angel) Call the office if you have any questions about our plans for the week!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

St. Paul’s will be having a church service in the gym at 10:30a.m. on Sunday, March, 3rd.  K-5 students will sing at this service to celebrate Lutheran Schools Week.  The St. Paul’s Youth Group will serve a soup luncheon after the service.  They will serve a variety of soups, crackers, relishes and dessert for a free will offering.

NO SCHOOL

There will be no school for all grades, Preschool – 5th grade,  the week of March 11th-15th for Spring Break.

ROLLER SKATING PARTY

The PTL sponsored Roller Skating Party will be held on Sunday, March 3rd from 5:30-7:30pm at the Beatrice Rolla Rena.  The cost is $6.00 per skater.  Everyone is invited to come and have fun skating with us!

GRANDPARENT’S DAY

We invite all parents, grandparents, and family friends to mark your calendars now for a special Grandparent’s Day Celebration!  On Friday, March 8th in the school gymnasium, beginning at 10:00am, we will celebrate our school and our families with songs, skits, and a variety of entertainment by our K-5th grade students.  Mark your calendars now, and if you would like invitations, please fill out the form that came home.

COOKIES FOR GRANDPARENT’S DAY

If your last name begins with A-L (grades K-5) please provide one dozen cookies for our guests on Grandparent’s Day.  You may send the cookies on Friday, March 8th.

Friday, April 26th will be our PTL Wine-Tasting Date.  Please mark your calendars now and plan to volunteer and enjoy our biggest school fundraiser event! 2024-2025 APPLICATIONS
We are in the process of accepting applications for new students in Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten through 5th Grade for the next school year (2024-2025)

VETERANS OF FOREIN WARS COLORING CONTEST

Congratulations to Logen Lear for winning first place in the Veterans of Foreign Wars #1077 Auxiliary coloring contest.  Logen won a $5.00 Dairy Queen gift card.

RUSS’S MARKET RECEIPTS & SCHOOL COLLECTIONS

Russ’s Market cash register receipts update:  Our current total $305,430.99.  Other items you can collect to support or school: Box Tops for Education (must be submitted electronically); Best Choice, Our Family Labels and Tyson A+ Labels. All these collections can be submitted to the school office, and we thank you for helping to support our school!
