PICTURE DAY-SEPTEMBER 28th

Student pictures will be taken this Thursday, September 28th beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the school gym. Parent notices with envelopes for payment were sent home last week. If you need more envelopes for younger family members, please stop by the office.

Checks should be made payable to LIFETOUCH, placed in the special envelope, and brought to school on or before September 28th. DO NOT make checks out to the school. Lifetouch requests that you do not combine orders or payment for several children in one envelope.  All K-5 students will be photographed but a package of pictures will be prepared only for those who bring a completed envelope with payment.  You can also order portraits on line. More packages and styles are available.

Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten students and younger children may have their pictures taken this day, but will have to make arrangements to be at the school between 8:00-8:30 a.m. as the photographer is only here in the morning. These pictures will be taken on a first come-first served basis. The photographer will pack up and leave as soon as grades K-5 pictures have been taken.

NO SCHOOL
There will be no school for students in grades Pre-K through 5th this Friday, September 29th.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A LUTHERAN CHRISTIAN?
Several have asked, “So what do Lutherans believe about the Christian faith?” In order to help respond to that, St. Paul’s Lutheran church will be holding a series of classes, conducted by Pastor Reek, to introduce the Christian faith and will address specifically some of the key ways Lutherans have a specific slant on some questions.

Persons who are interested in becoming a part of the congregation at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church are really encouraged to make some time to attend this series. Persons who haven’t looked at the basics of their Christian understanding for a while are invited. The class will be held over seven Sundays beginning October 1st. It will be held in the church fellowship hall downstairs and will start at 1 p.m. and go for an hour. No one is put on the spot to read or answer questions. In fact, you are invited to come and make pastor answer questions.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

A note with your scheduled time was sent home last week. Please let your teacher know if the time does not work for you.

K-5 SINGING IN CHURCH
