CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR NOVEMBER & DECEMBER- WARREN’S TABLE
In November and December, we will be collecting money for Warren’s Table. This outreach project at Christ Episcopal Church in Beatrice provides a free meal to the public each Tuesday evening. After we raise funds, we plan to prepare and serve a meal with our older students, and donate any extra funds raised. Our meal is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018, so mark your calendars!  The current total is $38.31.

UPCOMING FIELD TRIPS

MID-QUARTER REPORTS

NO SCHOOL
There will be no school Wednesday, November 22nd through Friday, November 24th for Thanksgiving vacation as we pause to give thanks to God for all the blessings that we have received from Him.

4TH GRADE CHAPEL
4th Grade will present their class chapel on Wednesday, November 15th beginning at 8:30 a.m. Parents are welcome to worship with us at this special service as well as any Wednesday.

STUDENT CHRISTMAS GIFT PROJECT
In place of a student gift exchange, students in grades K-5 are participating in the Gage County Christmas Wish List Program again this year. Information about how we plan to participate was sent home last week. Please send your donation for this project by Monday, November 20th.

CHANGE IN WEATHER
Please be sure your child leaves for school with the proper clothing to match the weather. With colder weather in the air, hats, gloves, and warm coats will be needed when going outside for recess. If they wish to go out in the snow, they also need boots and snow pants. Also, with cough and cold season starting, we remind parents that a parent-signed permission is needed to be sent when cough drops are sent to school.

SCHOOL CLOSING INFORMATION
If school will be closed early or cancelled for the day due to inclement weather, the announcement will be made over station KWBE (1450 AM) radio and also on Channel 10/11 KOLN/KGIN TV and Channel 8 KLKN TV. Announcements are made at least every 15 minutes on mornings when weather conditions require it. We follow the Beatrice Public School’s initiative and ruling in most cases of inclement weather.

SCRIP CARDS
Giving Gift Cards for Christmas this year? Order your gift cards through our St. Paul’s Lutheran School “Scrip Card” program and our school automatically gets money in return at no extra cost to you! Order forms are located in the narthex, church office, school office, and on the school’s website.  A form was sent home last week. Orders will be placed November 27th and December 11th.  Order forms can be turned in to the church or school office.

SUNMART RECEIPTS
SunMart cash register receipts update: our current total is $10,745.32. Last week, we sent in another $150,000.00 worth of receipts and Nash Finch will be sending us a $1,000.00 check. This is the 23rd time we have reached the goal of collecting $150,000.00 in receipts.  You can also collect Box Tops, Best Choice UPC labels (from Heartland Foods), Tyson Project A+ labels, and Our Family labels (UPC portion). We can turn in all of these labels to receive money for our school.

In Christ,
