CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR NOVEMBER & DECEMBER- WARREN’S TABLE
In November and December, we will be collecting money for Warren’s Table. This outreach project at Christ Episcopal Church in Beatrice provides a free meal to the public each Tuesday evening. After we raise funds, we plan to prepare and serve a meal with our older students, and donate any extra funds raised. Our meal is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018, so mark your calendars!  The current total is $69.89.

DECEMBER CALENDAR & MENU
The December calendar is being sent home today. Please save it for future reference during the month of December.

ADVENT
Advent began this past Sunday, November 26th. We will again have the opportunity to prepare ourselves for Christmas by attending the midweek Advent Services: November 29th, December 6th, December 13th, and December 20th beginning at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Plan now to worship on these Wednesday evenings and invite a friend or relative to join you. A supper will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. on these Wednesdays before the evening service. This week, the Board for Parish Education will be serving beef and chicken tacos. A free will offering will be taken for the meals.
SCRIP CARDS
Giving Gift Cards for Christmas this year? Order your gift cards through our St. Paul’s Lutheran School “Scrip Card” program and our school automatically gets money in return at no extra cost to you! Order forms are located in the narthex, church office, school office, and on the school’s website.  Orders will be placed today, November 27th and next month on December 11th.  Order forms can be turned in to the church or school office.

CARDS FOR TROOPS
Vanessa Smith, one of our preschool parents, is helping to organize a Christmas Cards for Troops drive. The students will be making some cards in their classes, but families are welcome to bring cards as well. There is a box on Miss Chauntaine’s desk to collect the cards. Please bring all cards by Tuesday, December 5th.

LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE
St. Paul’s will have a float entry in the Lighted Parade on December 2nd.  Children who wish to walk alongside the float are welcome to join us. If you have a battery operated candlestick, please bring that to carry. We will provide halos for them to wear.  There will be a limited amount of space on the float for younger children to sit and ride. We will assemble for the parade at 5 p.m., at Country Cookin Café. The committee needs to know how many halos and tablecloths they need for children, so please let the school office know if your child will be joining us by Wednesday, November 29th!

RUNZA FUNDRAISER
Tuesday, December 5th from 5-8 p.m., the PTL will be hosting a Runza fundraiser night. A portion of all sales will be donated to St. Paul’s Lutheran School. Mark your calendars now and plan to eat out with us!

CHRISTMAS CAROLING
St. Paul’s Youth Group will be hosting a Christmas Caroling event on Sunday, December 10th. Please meet at the church at 1:30 p.m. and bring treats to share afterwards with hot chocolate and fellowship in the church basement. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM PRACTICE
Saturday, December 16th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is the only Saturday practice scheduled.
