PRAYER FAMILIES
In our prayers this week, we remember the following school families: Nick & Lacey Jurgens, Steve & Dawn Jurgens, Ron & Abby Kassmeier, and Brent & Kathryn Katz.

CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR NOVEMBER & DECEMBER- WARREN’S TABLE
In November and December, we will be collecting money for Warren’s Table. This outreach project at Christ Episcopal Church in Beatrice provides a free meal to the public each Tuesday evening. After we raise funds, we plan to prepare and serve a meal with our older students, and donate any extra funds raised. Our meal is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018, so mark your calendars!  The current total is $90.14.

DECEMBER CALENDAR & MENU
The December calendar was sent home last week. Please save it for future reference during the month of December.

ADVENT
We encourage you to prepare for Christmas by attending the midweek Advent Services: December 6th, December 13th, and December 20th beginning at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Plan now to worship on these Wednesday evenings and invite a friend or relative to join you. A supper will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. on these Wednesdays before the evening service. A free will offering will be taken for the meals.

UPCOMING FIELD TRIP
The 2nd Grade will make their monthly visit to Mosaic on Friday, December 15th.

LUNCH AND TUITION BILLS
December tuition is now due. November lunch bills will be sent home this week.

CHRISTMAS CHOIRS
We are looking forward to upcoming visits from the middle school and high school choirs and bands. Delegation, the middle school choir, will visit us on Tuesday, December 5th at 10:45 a.m. Limited Edition and Jazz band from the high school will visit us on Monday, December 11th at 12:20 p.m.

SCRIP CARDS
Giving Gift Cards for Christmas this year? Order your gift cards through our St. Paul’s Lutheran School “Scrip Card” program and our school automatically gets money in return at no extra cost to you! Order forms are located in the narthex, church office, school office, and on the school’s website.  Orders will be placed on December 11th.  Order forms can be turned in to the church or school office.

CARDS FOR TROOPS
Vanessa Smith, one of our preschool parents, is helping to organize a Christmas Cards for Troops drive. The students will be making some cards in their classes, but families are welcome to bring cards as well. There is a box on Miss Chauntaine’s desk to collect the cards. Please bring all cards by Tuesday, December 5th.

RUNZA FUNDRAISER
Tuesday, December 5th from 5-8 p.m., the PTL will be hosting a Runza fundraiser night. A portion of all sales will be donated to St. Paul’s Lutheran School. Mark your calendars now and plan to eat out with us!

CHRISTMAS CAROLING
St. Paul’s Youth Group will be hosting a Christmas Caroling event on Sunday, December 10th. Please meet at the church at 1:30 p.m. and bring treats to share afterwards with hot chocolate and fellowship in the church basement. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM PRACTICE
Saturday, December 16th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is the only Saturday practice scheduled. It is very important for all children in Pre-School through 5th Grade who will be participating in the program to be at this rehearsal.  Please make every effort to have your child at church on time for the rehearsal and to pick up your child at the time rehearsal will be over.

Rehearsal times are:

Grades 1-5: 3:00 p.m. Program—Practice from 8:30-10:00 a.m.

Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, & Kindergarten: Both 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Programs—Practice from 10:00-10:30 a.m.

Grades 1-5: 5:00 p.m. Program—Practice from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

LIBRARY CHECK-OUTS
All library check-outs will be due Monday, December 18th. Due to the long holiday Christmas holiday, all library books, DVD’s, videos, and magazines are to be returned by Monday, December 18th and there will be no new check-outs until after the Christmas vacation.

3RD GRADE CHAPEL
The 3rd Grade class will present their Class Chapel on Wednesday, December 20th at 8:30 a.m. Parents are invited to worship with us at this special Chapel, as well as any Wednesday.

CHRISTMAS VACATION
Christmas vacation for students in Grades K-5 begins with the dismissal of class at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, December 22nd. Classes resume again on Tuesday, January 9th at the regular time. The last class before Christmas for the Pre-School students is Thursday, December 21st and class will resume again on Tuesday, January 9th at regular times. The last class before Christmas for the Pre-Kindergarten students is Wednesday, December 20th and class will resume again on Wednesday, January 10th at regular times.

SUNMART RECEIPTS
SunMart cash register receipts update: our current total is $15,851.23. You can also collect Box Tops, Best Choice UPC labels (from Heartland Foods), Tyson Project A+ labels, and Our Family labels (UPC portion). We can turn in all of these labels to receive money for our school.
