January 15th Newsletter

PRAYER FAMILIES
In our prayers this week, we remember the following school families: Corey & Alyssa Lieneman, Thad & Amy Loomis, Ryan & Peggy Loseman, and Jim & Callie Higgins.

CHAPEL OFFERINGS JANUARY
The offerings for the month of January will go to Lutheran Hour Ministries-Cambodia Missions. Our current total is $16.34. We will begin our online mission trip to Cambodia on January 22nd. Each day the students will watch a video about the Lutheran Hour Ministries’ work in Cambodia, as well as learn information about the culture and country.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS
We will be serving at the Warren’s Table on Tuesday, January 23rd. The students in Grades K-5 will be making the food during the school day. Grades 4th and 5th are invited to help us serve that evening. We will serve at the Christ Church Episcopal from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Students wishing to help should come in the South door by 4:45 p.m. and be picked up by 6:40 p.m.

LUNCH & TUITION BILLS
January tuition and December lunch bills were sent home last week with the students. If you ever have a question about your bill, please let us know.

END OF 2ND QUARTER
Friday, December 22nd marked the end of the 2nd quarter. Progress Reports are being sent home with students in Kindergarten-5th Grade today.  If you would like to discuss your child’s progress with his or her teacher, please feel free to contact the teacher to set up an appointment.

B.E.A.R. FAIR
B.E.A.R (Be Excited About Reading) Fair begins on Wednesday, January 17th. This year we will again be conducting a magazine subscription fundraiser and a cookie dough sale to raise money for items in the library of our school.  A B.E.A.R. Fair representative will be here at the school to kick off our Fair. More information will be coming soon. We are looking forward to your participation and thank you in advance for your support!
VOTER’S ASSEMBLY
St. Paul’s Voter’s Assembly will meet on Sunday, January 21st at 1:30 p.m. in the church basement. If you are a member of St. Paul’s Church, consider joining the voters. If you are already a voter, please plan to attend.

MOSAIC
2nd Grade will make their monthly visit to Mosaic on Friday, January 26th.

1ST GRADE CHAPEL
The 1st Grade class will present their Class Chapel on Wednesday, January 31st at 8:30 a.m. Parents are invited to worship with us at this special chapel, as well as any Wednesday.

NEEDED FOR VALENTINE’S DAY
The Kindergarten class needs large oatmeal boxes for Valentine’s Day. If you have any empty ones, please send them to school.

2018-2019 APPLICATIONS
We are in the process of accepting applications for new students in Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten through 5th Grade for the next school year (2018-2019). If you know of anyone interested in enrolling in St. Paul’s School, please give their name to the school office or ask them to contact the school.

SUNMART RECEIPTS
SunMart cash register receipts update: our current total is $22,671.67. You can also collect Box Tops, Best Choice UPC labels (from Heartland Foods), Tyson Project A+ labels, and Our Family labels (UPC portion). We can turn in all of these labels to receive money for our school.  The Campbells labels for Education program has ended, we no longer need you to turn in those labels.
