CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR JANUARY

The offerings for the month of January will go to Lutheran Hour Ministries.  Your child will bring home a manila envelope for the month of January.  Our Current Total is: $41.08

SCHOOL CLOSING INFORMATION
If school will be closed early or cancelled for the day due to inclement weather, the announcement will be made on Facebook, email, KWBE (1450 AM) radio and also on Channel 10/11 KOLN/KGIN TV.  You can also go to www.remind.com and our school code is @k7beak to receive messages to your phone.

FIRE SAFETY CLASSES

Next Wednesday, February 7th, the 5th grade class will be starting a six week session of Fire Safety Classes with fireman Anthony Zimmerman.

PARENT VISITATION DAY

Parents are always welcome at St. Paul’s, but on February 1st and 2nd our annual parent visitation days will be held.  We welcome parents to spend the day visiting classrooms or eating lunch with their students.  If you wish to eat a school lunch, you will need to let the office know by 8:30 a.m. that morning.  Adult lunch price is $4.60 and child lunch price is $3.30.  We remind you that lunches from fast food restaurants may not be brought to school.  February 1st will be the preschool – 5th grade visit day, and February 2nd will be the pre-k visit day. 

3rd GRADE CHAPEL
The 3rd Grade class will present their Class Chapel on Wednesday, January 31st at 8:20 a.m.  Parents are invited to worship with us at this special Chapel, as well as any Wednesday morning Chapel.   

VALENTINE’S DAY

Valentines may be brought and handed out at school for Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, February 14th (Preschool- Tuesday February 13th).  To avoid and hurt feelings, we ask that children bringing Valentines bring one for each member of the class or hand out none at school.  Teachers will be contacting parents to ask for snacks, drinks and games for the parties.

PTL MEETING

Our next PTL meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 7th @ 6:30 p.m. at the school.  Please plan to attend!

3RD GRADE CLASS REQUEST

The 3rd grade class is requesting empty 2-liter pop bottles.  If you are able to donate for a class project, please give them to the school office or Mrs. Schotte by January 23rd. Thanks!

GOSPEL ADVENTURES ONLINE MISSION TRIP TO AUSTRALIA

This week, our students in Grades K-5 will be participating in Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) Online Mission Trip to Australia.  They will learn about the Culture, Food, Language, and History of Australia while also learning how LHM is spreading the Good News of Jesus!  Be sure to ask your student about their adventures learning about Australia.

2024-2025 APPLICATIONS
We are in the process of accepting applications for new students in Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten through 5th Grade for the next school year (2024-2025)

RESCHEDULING-KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS ANNUAL FREE THROW CONTEST DUE TO WEATHER

The annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd in the Saint Joseph Catholic School Gym with registration at 6:30 P.M. and shooting to begin at 7:00.  The contest is open to all boys and girls ages 9 to 14 with age based on how old they are as of January 1st.  Everyone receives a certificate of participation, sport drink, and has a fun night of competition.  The winners of each division will also receive a medal, a winner’s certificate, and they will then participate in the district contest that night.   If you have any questions, please contact Michael Policky at 402-228-4642.  

RUSS’S MARKET RECEIPTS & SCHOOL COLLECTIONS

Russ’s Market cash register receipts update:  Our current total $237,362.37.  Other items you can collect to support or school: Box Tops for Education (must be submitted electronically); Best Choice, Our Family Labels and Tyson A+ Labels. All these collections can be submitted to the school office, and we thank you for helping to support our school!
