PRAYER FAMILIES

CHAPEL OFFERINGS FOR FEBRUARY
The offerings for the month of February will go to Our Hearts for Jesus project, Helping Hands Eastern European Ministries.  This ministry serves families and children living under communism or in conflict, including ukrainian refuge children.  All of the Lutheran Schools in Nebraska gather funds for this project.  In January we collected $145.10 for Lutheran Hour Ministries

FIRE SAFETY CLASSES

This Wednesday, February 7th, the 5th grade class will be starting a six week session of Fire Safety Classes with fireman Anthony Zimmerman.

KINDERGARTEN CHAPEL
The Kindergarten class will present their Class Chapel this Wednesday, February 14th at 8:20 a.m.  Parents are invited to worship with us at this special Chapel, as well as any Wednesday morning Chapel.   

VALENTINE’S DAY

Valentines may be brought and handed out at school for Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, February 14th (Preschool- Tuesday February 13th).  To avoid and hurt feelings, we ask that children bringing Valentines bring one for each member of the class or hand out none at school.  Teachers will be contacting parents to ask for snacks, drinks and games for the parties.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE SIGN UP

Parent teacher conferences will be held next month on Monday, February 19th from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for grades PK-5.  A signup Genius link was sent last week, please contact the office if you need help signing up!  Mr. Long is out of town on the 19th, so his conferences will be held on the 20th and 22nd in the evenings.

SINGING IN CHURCH

The K-5 grade students will be singing in church at St. Paul’s for the 9:00 a.m. worship service at the church on Sunday, February 11 th.  Students may sit with their parents and come up when it’s their time to sing.

LENTEN WORSHIP

Wednesday, February 14th is Ash Wednesday.  Lenten weekly worship services will begin that day.  With a 10:30 a.m. worship sevice and 6:30 p.m. service each Wednesday until Holy week.  Lenten Meals will begin on Wednesday, February 21st with a 5 p.m. start in the church basement.

LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK

The schedule for Lutheran Schools Week, which we plan to celebrate March 3rd-8th came home with your child last week.  Please keep the schedule to plan for dress-up days and other events that week.  Alliteration Day you can dress up as anything that starts with the same letter as your name. (Examples: Kelsy the Kangaroo, Amy the Angel) Call the office if you have any questions about our plans for the week!

NO SCHOOL

There will be no school on Friday, February 16th and Monday, February 19th for students in all grades, Pre-Kindergarten through 5th.

MID-QUARTER REPORTS

This Wednesday, February 7th, brings us to the middle of the 3rd quarter grading period.  Mid-Quarter reports for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will be discussed with parents at conferences on February 19th.

PTL MEETING

Our next PTL meeting will be held this Wednesday, February 7th @ 6:30 p.m. at the school.  Please plan to attend!

AUCTION COMMITTEE MEETING

St. Paul’s Lutheran Board of Education is forming a committee in order to plan a large fundraiser to support the St. Paul’s School foundation and also provide a third source of funding beyond tuition and church offerings.  The first meeting will be on Thursday, February 15th @ 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s school.  Please prayerfully consider serving and join us!

2024-2025 APPLICATIONS
We are in the process of accepting applications for new students in Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten through 5th Grade for the next school year (2024-2025)

RUSS’S MARKET RECEIPTS & SCHOOL COLLECTIONS

Russ’s Market cash register receipts update:  Our current total $273,403.20.  Other items you can collect to support or school: Box Tops for Education (must be submitted electronically); Best Choice, Our Family Labels and Tyson A+ Labels. All these collections can be submitted to the school office, and we thank you for helping to support our school!
